Zoe: First rule of battle, little one. Don't ever let 'em know where you are. Mal: Whoo-hoo! I'm right here! I'm right here! You want some of me? Yeah, you do! Come on! Come on! Aaah! Whoo-hoo! Zoe: Of course, there are other schools of thought...

::is sad::

All the Hours Wound Down was good. I was actually living in fear today that it would be horribly fucked up, since the last chapter had so much floofy schmoop in it, and it's sansday. I'll have to reread it with a new perspective. But I did like it a lot.

I stayed up until the wee hours of the night reading Kids in the Riot. So very good. I was a little surprised/disappointed that the D/C went from so tenuously tentative to curtain-fic so quickly, and alternately amused/peeved that Dean was such a piss-poor spy. But mostly amused.

Is that your peg-leg or are you just happy to see me?

I held my breath throughout All The Hours Wound. Even the...not so sad bits.

Dean kicked ass in Kids In The Riot! The fire alarm thing was genius. Hush. I loved the Andy beatdown and Sam pushing through the adoption bill/whatever. Those were both such messed up things. Oh, and Crowley rocked. To check a minor thing--did you get the impression that Bela was the woman he had sex with? I got a strange Dollhouse vibe off that, you know-- Adele/Victor.

Those were some supremely messed up things. It felt so real, what with the politics=gross messed up compromises and the whole longview of how the little actions that you think are right, that spur you to do bad things, get twisted and unexpected gross things happen.

I'll have to keep a look out on the Bela thing. I don't recall one way or the other.

Because books.

And I have to second it, heartily and with fervor. I enjoyed the hell out of that.
