Amen. Honestly, I was tired of that storyline halfway through Season 5. Can't God yell "everyone out of the pool!" and bust them all down to mortality?

So Castiel apparently wasn't remade into an archangel as last year's season finale implied after all. But he is still getting the Anna exception where he can take on his own previous physical form rather than needing a vessel.
