I want to see Ben Browder guesting on anything at this point. I'll tune in to Private Practice if it means he's getting work.
I could see Lynda Boyd doing a good FBI profiler or director on the trail of the dead bodies the Winchesters and Campbells leave in their wake.
Maybe Danica McKellar could play the next woman that sleeps with Sam and dies.
Damian Lewis needs to be on my tv again.
I have to laugh at myself when I realize that I'm struggling with logical inconsistencies in a show about the supernatural but it bugged me last night when the baby shapeshifted because, previously, a shapeshifter had always shifted into the form of a specific person and the baby shift didn't follow that pattern - until it struck me that maybe he shifted into a replication of the baby model on the diaper box. Is that right? Can I stop obsessing on that minor detail now?
I am disappointed in liadan14's fairytale bigbang.
I liked it. Not enough to bookmark, but I thought it showed a lot of inventiveness, and she did a good Anna. I thought the declaration was a bit rushed, but I liked how she strayed from the actual fairy tale, and hey, porn!
Art was craxy, though. No resemblance to anyone, except for in the chibi-ishest of ways.
I didn't hate it, there were some interesting and new character traits and dynamics and interpretations, but nothing grabbed me. I don't know if it was the story, because the writing and narrative was perfectly adequate, or if I just get a huge disconnect when wings are physical and bird-like. Or maybe I didn't really recognize Cas or Dean, which is weird to say for this Dean. It reads like all the appropriate boxes are checked, but...
Re: the "father/our father" thing in the hotel, it occurs to me that prior to that, Sam and Dean were in the car with ShifterBaby when Sam says "Shifters can have babies? I thought they were freaks of nature."
It could be a plot hole given it's a new writer, but it seems to me Sam couldn't have known what Gramps had planned -- at least, not at that point. Although, I really wondered why their first instinct wasn't to call Bobby. When Sam made the suggestion to talk to Samuel and Dean balked, Sam said, "Pitch me another idea" and Dean didn't have one. Meanwhile, I'm saying, "Call Bobby, you silly boys! What's wrong with you?"
Upthread someone wondered if the shifters were possessed by something else. I thought maybe Big Boss shifter was hosting a demon, until he walked right through a devil's trap.
