Yeah, he was Jonas. That's where I recognise him from.

IMDB says he was also Parker Lewis who couldn't lose. I did not know that.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Huh. I thought dead guy in the car was the guy that Dean was drinking with in the bar.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

No, that guy and his wife became djinn chow while Dean was watching from across the side yard.

If that's consistent throughout Hell.

I had the possibly unsupported impression that Lucifer's cage was at least as far removed from the regular environs of Hell as Hell is from the world of the living. And that time might run in a Limbo-from-Inception manner relative to the layers over it - like Lucifer's stay started about 4,000 B.C. but subjectively he was down there for billions of years.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I hope this season's arc doesn't result in a lot of mean-to-Dean or just plain mean-Sam fic.

Because I can't help myself I already clicked on fic by someone I know wishes Dean would just dump Sam and just go hunt with Cas, and she was such a hater I had to roll my eyes.

And not well or interestingly done, either. And the comments on her fic were all "Ooh, this is so scarily plausible, why doesn't Show go there?" Sam a cannibal, eating Dean? Seriously? Do you even go here?

Me too! I'm fearful that the (temporary) rift between the brothers will somehow multiply as plot bunnies do in fic. DO NOT WANT.

Because books.

Seriously? Do you even go here?

WHAT?

I don't mind them not being all "reunited and it feels so good" from the outset, because I think it's going to be interesting to what changed Sam, and how they continue to navigate their already messy brotherly relationship, but really? Really?! I don't want either brother out, or completely villainized, ever. Not the show I signed up for.

Reading a lot of S4 fic is already irritating enough. I don't want a rehash.

Grr. And I just clicked on a Dean/Neal, which opens with how pissed Dean is at Sam's abandonment (I forgot the pissy Sam fics go through to The End) and I don't even have the calm to work out if it's character PoV or author. Just, no character bashing, please.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

It occurred to me ... Sam was host for Lucifer. "Better to reign in hell" Satan - a slippery fellow. What if his time in hell was spent consolidating his position as ruler and then coming back to wreck more havoc? The Campbells are hosts for his pet demons, and it's all going to come crashing down in the not too distant future.

(And, FWIW, the Sam tests didn't bother me so much - I assumed Bobby would have tested him a lot when he first turned up.)

While I like the idea of the Campbells being evil minions for some nefarious do-no-gooder, I really hope it's not Sam.

I think they've said they're done with Lucifer and Michael and the Apocalypse storyline, so I would be dissapointed to find Lucifer topside.

I like that Sam and Dean must ally together against the evil Campbells. This scenario suits me more.
