Maybe after their various movie deals, they decided a sure thing was better while it lasted than trying their luck at the fickle bitch that is movies. I know I'd rather see JA as Dean than in another silly horror movie where his subtelty is absolutely wasted. It's not like it's all going to be 10 Inch Heroes for him. And I think that's smart. It's good, what they've got, and they're still growing and improving. And I'm selfish and don't want them out in the ether waiting for that perfect role that will only last two hours of my life.

I tried to tell Hollywood that these two needed to do westerns, but so far, it's not listening. I don't think it's getting the signals from my brain. It might also have me on ignore.

I still can't believe that there isn't decent western fic out there. Or if there is, that I haven't found it yet. I think SPN would translate so incredibly well to western. And I might just die if I got to see JA astride a horse in an actual movie.

I finally finished an epic fic about . . . well, not much more than Cas being tortured, and while I like my whump, it was a bit much. But what kept me from enjoying it for what it was, was how bitchy, cold and mean they made Sam. And whiny. I'm not a Sam girl by any means. I have a hard time identifying with or empathizing with him in canon, let alone fic, but this was so OOC as to be slander, and so not worth the whumpy goodness.

And he turned down our girl!!!!

I understand this, but I'm still a little ticked at Sam about this.

I was thinking that when Dean came back from forty years in hell, the first place he went was to Bobby. Then, how long before he made it to Sam? I was thinking it was as soon as he could get things together to get to him or find him.

It's probably confusing to Dean that his instinct was to go to Sam, but Sam's wasn't to go to him. But then again, in Sam's defense, we know he was watching Dean, even if Dean doesn't know. Maybe that's a call back to when John watched Sam at Stanford without Sam knowing?

Why would Sam want the Impala? Why would Sam want to separate Dean from the Impala? I think it makes perfect sense for him to turn it down and stay with his own car, but I also think him leaving Dean in the dark made (flawed) sense too.

Seriously, it was more of an "I don't need you" message that was stacked on all the others he had given Dean by that point. I understand all the possible reasons, I just think it hurt Dean's feelings.

But Sam is my darling too--so I'm waiting to see what are behind his reasons.

I know what Theresa means -- Sam wouldn't want the Impala, but for Dean to offer and be blown off so casually had to hurt. The Impala means the world to him, and helped save the world (which we, at least, know, given Sam's reaction to it in Swan Song), and I think the whole purpose of the scene was to point out that Sam has changed.
