Then you have to wonder why Loki would believe in angels and give consent to possession. Could be quite the crisis of faith and rebellion against his father.
Technically, if Loki was always Gabriel, we have canon interspecies MPREG, but I'd really like to have it onscreen, thanks.
His father Laufey? In the mythology, Loki is Odin's blood brother, not his adopted son like in the comic books.
Loki is not son of Odin. Son of a giant (personification of the wild fire) and an entity who is either a giantess or a goddess.

What if the real Loki died somehow and Gabriel just decided to take advantage of the death, managed to keep it quiet and just became Loki.
Or he could have imprisoned Loki beneath a volcano, tormented eternally by venom from a snake....
Why do I remember he gave birth to a horse, but not who his father was? If I had a therapist, I'd ask.
I always assumed that there were many tricksters, and Gabriel was just impersonating one. Was he ever defined specifically as Loki, or did that just come up alongside mentions of Coyote?
