I started watching yesterday after Mom left so I'm doing pretty good.
although some of it is a bit of a blur because I didn't feel good. But hell I have the dvds so I can go back and watch.
I have the blu ray set and my god is that show amazing in HD. Esp Ackles, he's just too damn pretty.
Apparently my mom only just recently found the station airing the repeats of season 5. What ep did she see? Swan Song. I've been bugging her and bugging her that she was running out of time and needed to catch up fast. And just like her, she reads the last chapter.
Good news is she really liked it. I wonder if I would've liked it better as an ep without a seasons worth of build-up and epic expectations.
And she was absolutely enamoured that Dean went to be with the woman with the kid who looked like Dean. I think she's the only one in fandom who more than not hates the idea of Dean with Lisa.
Although, after rewatching season 3's Dream a Little Dream of Me, I actually got on board with them being Dean's fantasy and hope and what if. Especially with how much he denied knowing the dream with that glimpse of vulnerability. That this was secret.
I find it mandatory to capitalise Whore.
I just assume that Comcast had one of their issues and my dvr failed to capture the "of Babylon" that without a doubt the writers put there.
It's the only way I don't break my television.
Even though I'm gulping S5 down like Cas scarfing those burgers I'm really enjoying it.
The Tv land episode was both fun to watch and interesting at the end in terms of the main arc stuff.
I haven't seen the rest of the episodes, obviously, but in the last episode I just watched I would say that Dean already sees Lisa and Ben as family.
Even though I haven't seen it, I don't begrudge the idea of Dean making the family and stability he lost and has always wanted back.
I think it was also detachable.
Great. Now I've got "Detachable Halo" stuck in my head.
Imagine the SPN/Coneheads possibilities.

Amen. I loves me some Ellen, and I would love to see more of Jo. And there's all sorts of lovely room to play with Mr. Never Actually Appears in the Show Harvelle.
I think the tagging at Groped by an Angel is out of hand. I can't just click "au/ar" anymore for one stop shopping. It wouldn't be so bad if all the fics were required to tag with that one in addition to any other fine-tuning like "crime/detective" or "highschool". As it is, they don't all do that. And then there's the murky definition of au/ar. Some writers, while not necessarily tagging their fics as such, still include "au after ep blah blah" in the warnings/notes/summary. Um, it's all a fucking alternate universe when it comes to fic. Unless it's a coda or an interlude inbetween eps that doesn't mess with the canon. Now there's a freaking tag for "au/canon change". Come on! ALL FIC IS AU, all fic is canon change/modification/reinterpretation, so let's be a little more choosy about what we actually label as AU. Pretty please.
