Supernatural 2: Why is it our job to save everybody?

[NAFDA]. This is where we talk about the CW series Supernatural! Anything that's aired in the US on TV (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though — if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

So I'm scrolling down an lj with the tags for supernatural activated super power GO! and end up having to scroll past an un-lj-cut fic, which happens to be a twihard fic. So, um, Jacob and Edward, is that a common pairing? Certainly solves that triangle right up.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

So, um, Jacob and Edward, is that a common pairing? Certainly solves that triangle right up.

Takes out the most annoying part, frankly. I have way fewer problems with dead boy and puppy frolicking.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Okay, more than I wanted to know, even in allusion. I'll be skimming gingerly till after the premiere.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

?? That Dean had a life with Lisa? That's in the CW aired promos. That there's an antagonist? That's what happens every week.

Because books.

I'm skipping the Space promo. I have the last six eps of S5 set to watch, and I think I'm good otherwise. The CW promo was just enough appetizer without being too filling.

Jake boarded the SPN train this week. He had a couple days off and has seen/heard me, Ben, and Stephen talking about the show forever, and watched eps here and there. This week, he took the S4 discs up to his room and came to me tonight like a frigging junkie: "What does Lucifer look like?! What happens?! Oh my god do you have any of S5 on your laptop?"

I hooked him right up. I demand my toaster.

Levee Breaks, by Ash. Love, boys. Love. Ah, Sammy. Road to hell, indeed.

Dean/Bobby: In Nomine Patris. Try it. I'm serious.

And if that doesn't float your boat, have a shot at some Dean/Caleb: Seventeen and Flesh For Your Romeo.

I really need to explore more rarepairs.

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

Dean/Caleb? Who thinks of these. There honestly isn't enough room in my brain for my own personal ships but to throw rare ones in? I just shake my head.

Yay for Jake being a junkie. We know how that feels. The toaster should be in the mail.

Also, in the spirit of cross pollination, I just watched this week's Terriers on FX. The reason I bring it up in here is that one of the main characters has the same broken/low self esteem, but still omgcharming, as is written into Dean. If you like broken Dean, I think you'll like broken Hank. It's worth catching the rerun of this weeks episode.

Speaking of broken Dean, I had to watch Swan Song last night.

I didn't catch that Cas told Dean, "you don't have to be mean." Also, I really liked Misha's delivery of "I like that" when Dean calls him the new sheriff in town. I wasn't paying close enough attention to Cas the first go round I guess. The failed attempt at lying to Sam was still hilarious though.

Now to read Dobby. Oh, the things I do for buffistas.

Rarepairs is where Sam/Brady lives. Obviously it is of the good.

"I make mistakes, but I am on the side of Good," the Golux said, "by accident and happenchance.” – The 13 Clocks, James Thurber

Now I have an excuse for staying home on Friday night that I might actually choose over socializing even if I weren't worn out at the end of the workweek and wanting to veg out in front of the TV.

I'm still having difficulty making my brain think of Friday as Show night, but having Human Target as the lead-in at 8 p.m. on Fox and then SPN at 9 will make for a satisfactory night of TV, I believe.
