I'll probably regret this, but I just stumbled across this unpacking and I have to share it. This is the fanfic Sara wrote sometime in the past year. I'm typing it verbatim, creative spelling and all.
Ahem.
Samandden oun in Samfinsiscow ther was a ubendid (abandoned?) house that peole siad had a wich in the house but ther was a girl that whent in the house and herd a sopsop (no idea what that is) and she triyed to run but she was to fast for her and then the girl got uway and Sam and den toc (talked?) to the girl the decrive (described?) the wich.
It cracks me up that poor Dean doesn't get a capital, or an A, but she got the order right. Sam and Dean. You betcha.
Amy, that is awesome! I particularly like "Samandden." Also, I will probably obsess over "sopsop" until I think I've figured it out.
Hee. The closest I can figure is a "sob," but I don't actually know.
The funniest part, for me, is that she's obsessed with San Francisco, because I've been there twice, and haven't taken her, which does not sit well with her. Somehow she's put Sam and Dean together with San Francisco, because she wrote another "story" that took place there.
For some reason, when I was little, I was obsessed with San Fransisco too, because we had a family friend named...Francia? I never knew how to spell her name, so I spelt it Fransisco. Because that I could check the the spelling of. I'm not sure where my seven year old sense of propriety came from.
Just noticed Lisa lives in a one floor...bungalow? Anyway, one story. I swear I've read a number of fics with upstairs in them.
Such a trivial thing, really, in a fandom with the hair colour wank.
The first house was two floors, but the new one is definitely one. And weird-looking from the outside, I have to say. Like it doesn't quite belong in its neighborhood.
I know some of these fics are not written in the author's native language, and I know that there's some British tells. But some fics read like they were written with a whatever-to-English dictionary and thesaurus. Like, seriously, Shift-F7ing and replacing with entirely inappropriate words.
But I have to know, because it's weird -to me-, do people in the UK refer to bedrooms as closets or cupboards or cabinets?
Amy, that was hilarious and cute.
Aha! The alliteration and distaste for the word "room" continues: chamber.
He's off! And running in an AC/DC shirt. ♥
He's not even using his hashtag. Silly goose. So this is a dynamic representation of his location? Wow. We live in the future. Also? Creepy.
Whoa. That's the weirdest Google map I've ever seen.
Oh my god. I just found True Blood paper dolls via Jezebel, and now I want Supernatural ones so. very. much.
