Finished aesc's AU. It was really good. The chemistry felt a bit awkward in places, but the worldbuilding was so great it sort of washed over me. And the coda was very touching.

Juliebird, I know the rageprufrock story you're disgruntled with; I never liked the ending to it either. astolat wrote a sequel that holds together much better, but it doesn't sound as though you read anything that lies anywhere along the wincest scale so I don't think you'd be interested.

You liked! I'll have to read the main fic back to back with the time stamp, but the coda felt like it had really left the unique world building behind and fell back onto standard Dean/Cas tropes that don't fit what I remember of the tone of the main fic. Otherwise, it was sweet.

I wonder if the posting dates were done via blind lottery, because archie being last is just cruel: to save my fave for last, and wonderful: because my fave gets more time. Holy crap, three 20+k fics a day? I think I'm going to either have to quit my job or lose a lot of sleep. Possibly both. So I'll have to turn tricks to keep the electricity and the cable on. Johns won't mind if I'm reading on my iPhone while I'm working, will they?
