Jus in Bello con. Was that the Italian one? Yes it was.

It's not a perfect performance, but it's still mind blowing.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

More history than you wanted to know about Jensen singing in public:

He sang backup with a bunch of other people on two of Steve Carlson's albums, about five songs all told. He sang harmony to Jason's lead on Crazy Love at a friend's wedding, and the footage wound up on YT. Manns was a guest at the 2006 UK Asylum con, and talked Jensen into singing harmony with him on Crazy Love onstage; again the footage wound up on YT. Jensen also has done solo gigs at a small club in LA, usually when Carlson or Manns has been the main act. He's also done harmony onstage with them. In each case, he sang a soft, easy tenor, so as not to overshadow the lead or other singers.

Jason has his own studio, and he got Jensen drunk one night and talked him into recording Crazy Love so Jason could sell the cd single at an upcoming con--I forget which one. Jensen agreed. Jason then goaded him into taking a solo verse, and urged him to do the soft pop-ish tenor he'd been doing. But Jensen gave it the rough-edged country delivery, and it was actually much better.

So Jason put up a dl link and a paypal button, and also sold the cd single both at the con and online. And more people got to hear Jensen sing. He cowrote a couple of songs and sang harmony on a later Carlson album. He sang harmony onstage last fall on CK's birthday at Kane's Portland club gig. But the first time he actually played and sang lead, and used his actual voice, at a con was JIB. I hope he does more of it--and feels comfortable enough to do it on home ground.

(End useless music trivia)

What's absolutely wonderful is how dorktastically shy he is. It's not an act of "aw shucks, I have to singm haha I'm awesome?" but a sincere "please don't hate me when I suck".

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Of Desire And The Status Quo (DA crossover) has the penultimate chapter up.

And sansday finished her "Cas is a douche!" verse. With a tenuously upbeat note. I have to remind myself repeatedly that sansday is not sansdatelimite. One I like and fear, one I'm middle-of-the-road on.

Oddly, I actually kinda liked the final chapter in the "Cas is a douche" saga. As f***ed up as it was. Reminded me of another little fic I like by rosaline_kells called Green and Gold or something like that. Also f***ed up.

Off to finish the DA crossover!

It was definitely the most cheerful of the bunch, if also the least smutty. Maybe now I can reread the rest one day.

I'm finally reading Below skyscrapers (for a dropout). Aesc certainly went whole hog on the AU worldbuilding here. Very interesting stuff. Not sure why it's taken me this long to read it.

green tea:

I read somewhere that J2 announced they were signed on for a season 7, in case the network picks it up.

Unrelatedly, in which episode does Dean wake up to find Cas in his motel room?

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

Wasn't it the back to the future ep? Where he's all awesomely creepy with the "what were YOU dreaming about?" and the whole vague "you have to stop it" before bamfing Dean to the opportunity to think naughty thoughts about his mom.

Thank you! That's precisely the one.
