I want to torture you. I used to love it, and it's been a long time. I mean, the last time I tortured someone, they didn't even have chainsaws.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Julie, you got that story wrong. Dean isn't God. Chuck still is. Dean is Death. And you know what? DEAL WITH SAM in these scenarios, or I spit at you. He's going to have a fit. Dean's going to have a fit. There will be fittage.

I don't think I liked Season Ticket. I seem to recall being pissed about the author's definition of "minor character deaths." But I'd have to skim to be sure.

Off to read more minibang.

Because books.

I don't think I liked Season Ticket.

I just finished it. And ... I'm not sure I liked it, either. Her tone is very flat except in a few instances (she does good Crowley and good Gabriel voices), and it reads a little like an outline in places. She tried to take on too much, and so much got glossed over ( like Sam and Jo's relationship, for example, and I really would have liked to see how they got together, given their history and her crush on Dean ). The Dean/Cas was pretty well done, but I found myself skimming a lot of the rest to get back to it.

Julie, you got that story wrong

That's what I get for skimming. And I caused an uproar and everything. Either way, it's ridunkulous.

What is this Season Ticket? Nevermind. [link] Read it, don't remember much about it except art. God, my brain is overloaded with fic.

Maychorian's Better Than One was so very nice. She did the really nice weechester fics with young adopted Cas, which I really liked, both versions of it.

Bright Red Droplets was of the suck. Avoid. I have no idea who those guys they were calling Dean and Cas were, but they weren't my guys. Flowery and OTT and totally not in character. She does warn for schmoop, but come on woman. I like him because he's Dean.

She epithets a lot, and I eyerolled at all the "his lover does this" and "his lover does that." Just ugh. I get it. They shag.

Story also has no plot. It's like a long reason for them to utter sweet nothings at each other and have a couple sex scenes, one very impractically timed. And to randomly resurrect Gabriel which has no effect on the story beyond just that, and maybe allowing some handfeeding.

Excellent, I hadn't read that one yet. Avoiding!

I was ridiculously late to work this morning because I just had to finish "We All Fall Down".

I really liked it and really didn't. Dean and Cas' relationship is wonderful, but also disturbing, and I don't think the fic meant for that. But, still, so much creepy wrongness even though the story is gen.

And I wanted to throw up when we got to the end, with what was done with Sam and how Dean feels about him, and wanted to throw my laptop through the window. Slight redemption in the final lines, but I don't know if it was enough.

Secrets of season 4. They seem to be under the impression that Lilith is an intriguing new S4 character, but mostly it's about Castiel. Nothing overwhelmingly new.

serial:

Okay! 1 month to go. This is where my countdown starts. I'll think about it again at 4 weeks.

Started reading maychorian's story. Why am I so distracted by the idea that Dean would put his car long term under a tree? That's just not what you do if you love your car. Sap! Bird poop!

Okay, need to move on.

Thank you! At the very least it's under a tarp, but it really should be under something solid.
