Because books.

Yeah, it's a definite keeper. I need to read that bauble story again and see if the annoying parts annoy me less this time around. Two in the morning is no time to make clear decisions.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I feel like I should read the bauble story again and see if I'm the one on crack. I saw everything filtered through Dean's extremely broken and hurt PoV and it made perfect sense to me that way.

Or maybe I'm just alone here in the bauble-love. Well, like. She hits me 60% of the time, but that 60% I'm a pretty big fan of.

Because books.

That's the thing, though -- I did love it, or the Dean/Cas parts. Sam just threw me, and something about Dean's interactions with him was ... not what I expected, I guess.

I also think, if I'm the reader, it's hard to sell me on Dean wanting to make it work with Lisa, if only for Ben's sake, when the only scenes you show me are the two of them, post-breakup, arguing or distant.

I think this is sort of what I meant conversations ago. I don't think I've read many fics where she wasn't either a vague mention, or they were already on the outs, and she was just being hurried off screen as quickly as possible so the smexing with Cas could get started.

I also prefer the fics where he's sleeping on the couch or in the guest room and never tried to start something romantic with her. And unless the author sells me on Dean having feeeeelings for her, it just comes off as cold and death-wish obligatory, and makes me scratch my head over her. And the emotional state he must be in, I can't see some big romantic passion springing up.

I've idly toyed with the idea of going back and rereading as well, with the whole "knowing how it ends". But I've got too many tabs of unknown quantities of badfic to peruse.

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

Amy, I am proud of you for sitting through it too. For my part the warnings to not watch Devour are those of not wanting loved ones to be in pain. Don't touch the hot stove, don't run into the street, don't watch Devour. I just found Stonehenge Apocalypse silly and watched with delight to see what Misha would do next.

Misha, Misha, Misha. One day he blew open the doors for his entrance, and the world has never been the same. His gratitude and enjoyment of this attention is a pleasure to watch. Now I'm curious to see how far he will run.

I loved that he set the outer limit of his run at 100 kilometers.

I just read bad minibang fic where Dean is to become God. Is this a thing now?

What's the significance of 100 km? Other than really really far.

Julie, which story is that? I'm not reading another one where that happens. It's just ludicrous.

He just said 10-100km, and one would sponsor /km. So that way you know what the upper cost will be.

Because books.

People are writing stories where Dean becomes GOD ?!

Come ON.
