Because books.

This is so adorable it hurts a little.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Hee. Cute chibis.

Dragon story should have been gen. Relationship totally welded on. Hmmph.

This gen Weechester story has a great excerpt as summary: [link] Badass wee Dean.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

Yeah, he's a lumpy pillow, but that last panel is good, Amy.

I saw this: [link] and got all excited over the premise and the art. But, I don't know how the BB works. All fics seem to have some sort of art, but do all art have fics? Would they release the art before the fic as a teaser or just because it was already ready? Because, damn, I want that fic. They wrote a description and evyting.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

This is an odd thing to complain about, but having three large fic fests posting at once (regular big bang, DeanCas big bang, and summergen), it's overwhelming to the point where I'm hardly reading anything.

If I ran the world (which I should), I'd love to see them go spring-summer-fall. Plus, you'd probably have more writers participating in multiple fests.

Julie, that author dropped out. That's the summary they wrote for an artist to claim them. I guess they dropped out late enough in the process that the art was claimed.

So we'll never know, probably.

Okay, I'm a few paragraphs into that Weechester story, and I want to smish Sammy so hard. This better keep up. But 42k of this kind of cute might kill me. Dean better kill somebody.

cocoa puffs:

If it's any consolation, Anne, mini DCBB ends soon and doesn't pick up again until October.

Wait...I think the main bang ends soon too. When does summergen end?

Damn. Too bad, because that story looked fascinating.

Because books.

I dropped out of Big Bang last year, and my artist had already done stuff. Actually, I didn't really drop out, I just never finished and never posted, so I really suck.

I think they run everything in the summer to give people stuff to read over hiatus, but it always seems to end up being too much or everything sucks. In my experience, anyway.

blinks

That's an odd posting schedule.

I'm not sure when summergen ends. Last year, it went through early September, but I think there are more authors this year. So maybe it will end up being staggered nicely. Excellent.
