Should I bother to rent the one Ben episode from the first season?
I would. He's even younger and his voice and character are so wildly different from Alec. It's fascinating.
Thanks ita for the fic link. Reading now. I also read a few of the D/C teasers and oh my I'm eager for those now.
Trinityofone has done a fusion with canon I don't know (Hunger Games, IIRC). I hope I can still get it.
I'm heartened by a fair number of the snippets. Only a few make me think I'll skip their fics entirely, and I'm sure I'll forget who those are by the time posting rolls around.
Lord knows the icons everwhere.
True 'nough. I have been confusing some people for each other because of it--kinda like after the orange underwear picture.
Oh,I can fill you in quick enough on Hunger Games, ita. It's an excellent YA book, with a sort of Running Man thing going on in a dystopian world. Really, really good.
Hunger Games is SO GOOD. I'm off to find that fic now. Jeez the weekend fic reading is stacking up.
I still need to read Catching Fire, ehab. I tore through Hunger Games like I was possessed, though. Loved it.

Aha. That explains the mentions of reapings in her snippet, then. I will hit you up for a primer when the story gets posted.

No worries for the weekend! That's her D/C BB, so it's only a snippet so far.

Yeah, there's a "Lottery" element to the beginning, and then it goes to this survival game. It's actually perfect for a fusion.
That explains why I couldn't find it. Amy, the second book was the same. I read it all night. I'm waiting impatiently for the third. I cannot believe how compelling those books were. YA fiction is not like what it was when I was YA.
Another YA trilogy that is dark, brutal and utterly compelling that I'm wait impatiently for the third book is "A Resurrection of Magic".
Back to SPN/DA fic.
Know what fusion I want? And it would be a totally indulgent excuse for porn? A Kushiel's Dart one. All the "iel" names in it keep throwing me back to angels, never mind them actually being called Angelines. The idea of Castiel as a professional courtesan who perceives pain as pleasure? GOLD MINE.
I'd eat that up with a spoon.
A Kushiel's Dart one.
I tried to read that and just couldn't wrap my head around the politics and the levels of society. I wanted so much to like it, but fantasy that ... far out, for lack of a better word, just isn't my thing.
I amused myself in the shower the other day (HOLD ON, keep reading) by fusing SPN into It's a Wonderful Life. Except I made Anna into Clarence, and Cas into Mary, just for fun.
