For each other, you mean?
And what do you mean, above the fold? (I know what "above the fold" means in newspaperspeak, but I'm not getting how you're using it.)
[NAFDA]. This is where we talk about the CW series Supernatural! Anything that's aired in the US on TV (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though — if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.

Yeah, for each other. I mean, they were killed to torment each other and drive angst and (questionable) decisions. And, of course, to upset us.
By above the fold I just meant they were never going to stay dead. But they were killed to angst up each other.
Ah, gotcha.

OR THE GUYS WHO KILLED SAM AND DEAN. I HOPE THEY SUFFERED MASSIVE LOSSES.
Sam spent several hours having his anger freely indulged by the utterly ruthless second-most-powerful incarnate being in the Supernatural universe. I suspect things Did Not Turn Out Well for Roy and Walt.
There's a not small part of me that really really enjoys that scenario.
I think I disagree with the characterization of them being fridged for each other, especially in Dean's case, because the deaths were part of the characters own narrative arc. Unless I'm thinking of a different instance than you were, ita. Dean for John? Maybe...
Roy and Walt
Okay, has the penny dropped earlier, and I'm just now getting the Disney ref?
I can't remember, Bev! But now it seems so obvious. Heh.
I'm working my way through the DA crossover, and am extremely amused with every single character falling in love with woobie/psychotic/feral Dean. That is, when I'm not being confused by the whiplash of shifting attitudes and motivations.
