Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Thanks!

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

I'm not normally a huge fan of historical AUs, but this knocked my socks off. The boys are still very much themselves, and it's got a fabulous outsider POV of them and their relationship. The story is presented as a letter home from a wounded WWI soldier, and it has the feel of a letter from the era. Good stuff.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

That was lovely, Anne. Thanks for the rec.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

According to one fic, Castiel has violet eyes.

I'll bet he sings, too. Heavenly choir, and all.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

One thing I've noticed in my fic-travels is all the tells that 1) we are in a new era of fic and 2) a lot of this fic is being written by 11 year old Twihards. From the infection of current technology (the plethora of fic involving emoticons, the internet, facebook, twitter, texting) to the banter and activities that men in their late twenties/early thirties/second millenium wouldn't get up to. The former isn't all bad, and is mostly meant to be cracky and fun, but the latter, sometimes it's a weird wakeup call to who is writing these very adult fics.

Because books.

God, they're an attractive, healthy couple.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I know it's silly, but I'm going to go into S6 assuming my ships are broken. D/C--Castiel won't only need Dean any more. He'll have the host again--other angels. Rebuffed, Dean will also have a promise he made to the most important person in his life to a woman he does like and a child he cares for.

And for the brotherly bond people, it sure didn't look like Sam was rushing across the street, perfectly normal, to join his brother,

It could be a season of all new OTPs! Or I'll just have to live up to the very end of 5x22.

Never completely silly to invest in 'ships, to one degree or another. Makes things interesting, especially in long hiatuseses. i?

Sera's always teased it's the epic love story of Sam and Dean so I hope that doesn't entirely change. But, yeah, I am going into S6 blind because more than usual, I can't even imagine where they go from here. My biggest ship is Impala/story, so...
