Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I do more heavy lifting than that just watching the show.

Ha!

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

If I were to posit that they were having sexy fun times during the show, there's no place where I could say "this is when they consummated". But they so broke up in Point of No Return, and fell into the awkwardness of "just friends/business associates" in Two Minutes to Midnight and Swan Song.

Man, when Cas is telling Dean that returning to Heaven seems like the right thing to do, he scrunches up his face like it pains him, or like it's bullshit. He freaking winces after he says that.

Dean and Cas are cars [link]

I've seen it all now.

(no worries, there's no car porn or impala babies).

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Oh, dear god.

Also, what does it say about me that I started out being offended that Sam got to be human and Dean was a car?

I like my boys on an even playing field.

The Time Has Come to be Gone CM/SPN crossover. Not finished reading it, so no rec or anti-rec yet. However, they did get Dean's birthday wrong so far. Hmmph. Made him a Capricorn instead of an Aquarius.

The Hotch voice seems okay so far.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Dean and Cas are cars

That was ... cracky. Huh.

The CM story...not good. Clumsy Dean voice. They later actually call him an Aquarius, despite having given him my birthday, which is not. Clumsily betaed. Strange things with Canon--S4 CM with Reid on crutches after a DDR injury and a reference to Hotch having taken out Foyet with a lucky bullet? Hello? That's how you got him out of the S4 cliffhanger?

Very standard Dean in the box scenes, and Dean isn't as charming as he should be. Sam is 6'6", which seems a bit startling, and I'm trying to read about Henricksen at the same time I'm seeing Malik Whitfiled on Rizzoli & Isles. It's disconcerting. He'd forgive the boys!

Random beasties too.

Thanks for the nonrec and taking one for the team. I was about to try it and it's not my kind of story at all, clearly.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

There's always the things they do...catch Dean (the dominant one) and investigate the record and they don't meet the pattern of a thrill killer, or a proper mission based killer, maybe they realise the killings stop when they come to town (this story didn't take that step), and then something supernatural happens where the BAU witnesses is and at least one of them becomes a reluctant (or eager, in case of Reid) convert over to their side. In this story, there's a completely random possession by of Prentiss by Meg and exorcism by Anna that has nothing to do with the hunt at hand, but gets Dean out of the questioning room into begrudging trust,

They find Sam, and he's not the brainwashed dope killer, nor the mechanical brains of the business.

I don't mind the formula, honestly. I like the clashes of personality. I like the outside perspective into the Winchester's lives. I like what the boys can see about the BAU, especially Reid and, you know, if one them told Morgan he'd been abused or Hotch he'd been beaten, all the while tipping the chair back in their handcuffs, I'd be so pleased. Read them back, and slip the insight in between flippancies.

This author was not inventive with that particular structure. She takes some of the above notes, and very little conversation involving Sam. Most of the action happens at the cop station, so you don't even have to work for it, and the myth is a but tl;dr. Her physical descriptions are wack. S4 Sam is not 6'6" and noticeably less bulky than Dean. Birthday off, for instance. And that was me skimming.

They are fantastic worlds to have meet but it has to be done well because I really like both shows. Done well it's great. But it's hard to do.
