Riley: Oh, yeah. Sorry 'bout last time. Heard I missed out on some fun. Xander: Oh yeah, fun was had. Also frolic, merriment and near-death hijinks.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

Sometimes I sit back and wonder why an author felt motivated to write a certain fic. Like, you get to the end, and there isn't any emotional payout, or plot to resolve, or interesting and new ways to explore the character dynamics, or hot sex, so I'm left wondering: if it did nothing for me reading it, what the heck did the writer get out of it?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I need an intervention. I spent a huge amount of time watching a great movie (Inception) staring at Cillian Murphy and thinking of Castiel. It was really distracting.

Oh good, so now I can admit that I spent a good chunk of time imagining how the unfinished Veronica Mars fusion fic could play out.

Because books.

Cillian Murphy frightens me. Something about his eyes just ain't right.

He totally fits the description of Castiel. It was so compelling. I kept imagining a big screen adaptation of SPN (you know, with RDJ as John), or maybe a Novak brother, or just something. I was immersed in the movie wholly (well, apart from the totally appropriate lusty thoughts) except for my mind screaming for my favourite angel.

I still prefer Misha, though. He's my favourite.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I've stumbled on vids where they intercut actual footage of canon sex scenes to make it look like the brothers were getting it on and I had to run screaming.

That's interesting. I enjoyed the video (though I haven't seen one like you describe) but I run screaming from the fic. I wonder why you can enjoy graphic descriptions on the page but not video.

My favorite Brokeback video was Remus/Sirius but now I can't find it. There's Harry/Siruis- ew ick.

What's a fusion fic?

Are you asking me? Because I totally can't--I'm the biggest Wincest back buttoner out there. I've read without squinting maybe one Wincest fic ever, and that was Wolfpack, where it was treated just as wrong as I was feeling. And It still made me tense. It's a huge squick.

ehab, who you didn't quote, can read but not watch.

What's a fusion fic?

Fusion is where you take the characters of the primary show and insert them into the premise of the secondary show. So a VM crossover would have VM characters, but a VM fusion would not, just plotlines and roles.

Oh, no, no, NO. JDM would be John! But now I want fic where John had a brother, and RDJ would be the avatar. No idea where that would go (and not to an incest place!) but I like to insert RDJ wherever I can.

Um. Metaphorically.

All I know is I want Misha to work a whole lot more when SPN is over. And not just in cheesy SyFy movies, either.

So like, Dean is a high-school student whose father John runs a detective agency?
