My favorite adorkable story about him was when they returned for S3 (I think?) and he was running around set with a glue gun, gluing little plastic animals to people's hats and baseball caps.

I whole-heartedly agree that JA is beautiful, but I am constitutionally incapable of agreeing that JP doesn't hold equal attraction for me. One of the favorite icons I've seen on LJ (that I can't find to link to right now) has Sam holding that white towel over one hip, gorgeous broad chest gratuitously exposed, and it says "In my fandom, this is the geek."
OTOH, I prefer him a bit better groomed. The wild man/mountain man look doesn't do as much for me as it seems to do for some of you.
Groomed or not, I'm an equal opportunity drooler when it comes to JP.
JA takes my breath away. He's absolutely unreal at the right angles. And most of the angles? Pretty damned right.
But transpose JP to just about any other show out there, and, yeah, he takes centre stage. UNF, as they say on ONTD. Damn. Randomly: big mitts pic.
And, seriously, Misha? JDM? Random guest stars? I'm weak all over.

I'd have to apply that to a Hardison icon, but Sam has second place. Again, it's a really high second place, because I am phenomenally crazy about Hardison.
See, I'd like all guys to be bearded. The wild hair depends, but it REALLY works for me with JP. With JA, I don't mind his hair a little longer, but I'd mostly like it S1 length ... and then a beard.
I would be happy to take either or both of them without, however. I am just that open-minded.
Man, it would be great if Sam came back with a beard next season because he'd been living that rough.
Poll: How long before Sam and Dean meet up again--show minutes or even episodes? I'm going to be a twitching mess if we make it to the halfway point of ep 1 and they've not seen each other yet, but then again, I do watch the show in order to twitch and mess.
Oh yes. JDM's perpetual beardedness when he's not filming is one my favorite things ever.

JDM's conversations with Craig are always great fun -they seem to really connect and let themselves be silly
Edit to add that I'd love to see Jared on Craig's show - JP would be hyperactive, Craig would encourage and add to it and no one would remember to cut to the commercial break
