Oh, yeah. There was this time I was pinned down by this guy that played left tackle for varsity... Well, at least he used to before he was a vampire... Anyway, he had this really, really thick neck, and all I had was a little, little Exact-O knife ... You're not loving this story.

Because books.

Insent!

I witnessed some of the Spike (and Tara) fallout on the Bronze: Beta, after the fact, but I just wasn't ... in that deep at that point? And I was a total newbie, too, and a little intimidated about speaking up, so. I mostly ignored it.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

That was my experience, too, Amy. Which is probably why I'm still such a huge Spike fangirl. If I'd started from the beginning I might have been just as tired and disgusted by it all as many others. I didn't start watching until the sixth season and it was the fuckedupedness between Spike and Buffy that really drew me to the show. What can I say, I'm pretty bent.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

I honestly think Drusilla is the key to getting an enjoyable Spike performance.

SPIKE&DRU4EVAH!

One of the things I relished about Spike in the beginning was how wholeheartedly happy he was to be evil, and powerful, and immortal.

Yes. That's why I was so fond of him. He wasn't tortured or upset about his existence. Happy Meals! On legs!

But when *he* got angsty, it got pretty ugly.

True. Sad, but true.

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

DEAN WON!!!!!

I was a hundred posts behind, so when I reached this line....it was like the end of of the Dr. Who when he realized why she gave him the screwdriver. And suddenly I was smiling and crying because "Now and then, every once in a very long while, every day in a million days, when the wind stands fair and the Doctor comes to call, Everybody lives!"

Ten was my doctor, but he didn't need to win. He will figure his way out of whatever jam in the end. Dean needed the win. Dean will always need the win.

Of course I might also just be hormornal.

I swear, Ackles looked small on Dark Angel. I just can't parse him being Boreanaz's size.

See, this was me. JA seemed small and sehxy on Dark Angel. But he isn't. Not big size either, just unremarkable normal size. Disappointing really.

Against Peter Petrelli, even. That's hilarious.

But I did vote here. Because karma demands that he kick Jess' ass!

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I swear, Ackles looked small on Dark Angel. I just can't parse him being Boreanaz's size.

I think the initial experience of seeing DB looming over pygmy-sized Buffy actors for three seasons skewed the way he's perceived. And the following two years of frequent scenes with Christian Kane didn't do much to correct it.
