If only I had the spare time to draw an illustration of the Winchesters searching through underbrush with flashlights in hand while a lighthouse shines in the background...
Supernatural 2: Why is it our job to save everybody?
[NAFDA]. This is where we talk about the CW series Supernatural! Anything that's aired in the US on TV (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though — if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.
I didn't you drew, Matt. I wish I could.
Great. Now I can add "Matt fanart" to my unfulfilled wishlist. Why had that thought never crossed my mind? Matt's a professional.
The things I don't know about people! Huh.
I just discovered these, but they've been around since 2008 so you may have seen them already -- Gorgeous digital paintings by green_ghost of Dean and Sam: Dean in b&w and Dean in color and Sam in b&w (although I'm not as sure about Sam's mouth).
I am bereft of (good) fic, so I'm watching S1. This is the first time that I noticed that Back in Black is the song playing the first time the impala is seen in motion.
Those are amazingly good, Morgana. Yeah, Sam's lower lip looks a bit thin and his chin a bit too big, but, still, WOW.
I knew Dean's hair had gotten severely short, but, man, S1 hair was great for both boys.
Honestly, I had really quite forgotten that Sam was angry and obsessed from the very beginning of the show after Jess dies. As jaded and socially detached and emotionally unhealthy Dean is, I forgot how freaking innocent he is in the beginning. I don't know if that's the right word, but in relativity, it's what I got.
Also, back in the pilot I had always thought it strange that Mary left John in the living room oblivious as she rushed up to Sam, but now (and I know they didn't plan this, but it's still awesome) with the knowledge that she was a hunter and he was muggle, that she would rush off towards the danger without alerting him. Because he was an innocent, useless non-hunter.
John's relatively innocent, but he was still a vet. Question is, did Mary suspect something supernatural was going down, or what?
Racebending AU where Mary was Korean. I'm a little taken out of it because they gender swapped Castiel for little reason I can determine. But I like the rest of the story. And my eyebrows raise a little at a comment of John's, and wonder if that's the author talking, or John off on his own.
I'd say yes, that she could have then remembered the warning about Yellow Eyes and the date, but mother-instincts overran the part about how things would be fine if she didn't interrupt.
Which doesn't quite fit with when they were investigating all the other nursery fires. With Mary, they end up making it look like it could have been avoided, but the rest, it's part of the M.O., the mothers, never the fathers, deliberately targeted. Did YED know that Mary would never keep her end of the bargain, and her on the ceiling was his plan all along, or did he like her ending so much that he based all subsequent demon-blood-taintings on her, OR, did he copy her death as a calling card to string Dean and Sam along?
Also, I've forgotten so many things: in Home, was Mary's spirit oblivionated?
