Because books.

Seeing Sam next to Spike would be PRICELESS.

I'd pick Maya from Heroes over Spike.

Good creepy or bad creepy?

I was going to ask exactly the same thing; and now I don't have to. I love it when the board answers my questions before I've asked them.

And gosh, you know me. I would be utterly charmed by Ten, and genuinely engaged. And would never make comparisons--aloud--that might hurt his feelings.

Hee! I know, but... the joke was there; I had to take it, man.

I'd pick Maya from Heroes over Spike.

Oh, god. That's some serious pain there.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Damn, I wish I could vote against Spike a million times. Spike is gross.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

He wasn't at first though, which just makes it worse.

I honestly think Drusilla is the key to getting an enjoyable Spike performance.

Because books.

I'm still fond of Spike. Well, parts of him. (Oh, STOP that.) But Dean ... DEAN is my man.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

The parts of my Spike love that were formed at the right time can never be destroyed, no matter what happened later.

I'd feel guilty voting for him against Dean, though, since Dean hasn't been ruined.

I do love some Dean, but there are definitely people that would beat him. Nine or Ten or Four, for instance. Hardison and Parker. But it's a pretty high bar.

Kneel before Glod. ~Stephen Colbert

Dean would dwarf Spike, a little, and Sam would positively loom. Size is so relative.

Agreed. I actually braved watching "The Christmas Cottage" with JP, and was stunned to see JP looking *up* at Richard Moll ("Bull" from Night Court) when their characters interacted. I'd forgotten how imposing Moll is!

Because books.

Dean is so deliciously tortured in ways that push every button I've got. One of the things I relished about Spike in the beginning was how wholeheartedly happy he was to be evil, and powerful, and immortal. But when *he* got angsty, it got pretty ugly.

Although I still don't hate him the way some others do.
