Because books.

I'm sorry! I'm still in that glowy yet jealous place myself, though, all "I'm unworthy!" because she just writes so beautifully.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

anastdean on LJ has capped In My Time of Dying. She does frequent picspams, and is a touch too fond of PS, but there are some closeup caps in there I've never seen before. Definitely not dialup friendly, though work-safe. And be warned, the whole right side of her page is animated gifs, classic moments, and worth a look, definitely. But possible page load issues. Here.

Oh, ass of Sam. Thank you, Sail.

Hee. I wasn't sure if that had been posted here or not, it popped up on my friends list on LJ and I just had to share.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

Two more things that fic writers don't need to include:

1) "I was named after the angel of Thursday. My parents were very religious." 2) "Huh, I wonder why I just suddenly started calling this guy 'Cas'?"/"Dean! Why did you give Castiel a nickname?!"/"What did you just call me?"

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

OMG YES. I'm a bitch for the moment where Dean first calls him Cas, every time, but stop calling it out so much, people.

I especially hate "Castiel is a dumb name, I'ma call you Cas instead." Urgh, guys. Way to hang a flag on it.

Huh. Took some time aside and read Luminous. My god, could she beat up on Dean more and not have character death?

That having been said, I totally fell for it--not precisely enough to rec, because I didn't enjoy it. But she had me in the emotional rollercoaster. I just didn't feel good about it at the time.

So I'm conflicted. As H/C, lots of H, and the C was a bit...weird.

If I can't handle the smattering of other End!verse fics out there, I doubt I can handle Luminous.

Way to hang a flag on it.

Seriously, Show got by just fine with just having it arise unremarked-upon

I adore Endverse fics (although I have to space out my reading), and Luminous was appalling to me. So definitely steer clear.

I went through that author's other Dean/Castiel, and she reuses a line of Dean dialogue in Luminous. Hmmph. I like her BAMF Cas, though, so I will definitely read other things she writes. And she did schmoop the hell out of the comfort part of the h/c. But still, the damage she had to do to our boy to get there...

Okay, so I might read the comfort part again sometime. Whatever. Don't judge me.
