Well, it's just good to know that when the chips are down and things look grim you'll feed off the girl who loves you to save your own ass!

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

However, from the shared bits of TWOP I've read, apparently people think VD is good? I'm not sure what's up with that.

After a rocky start, it actually got to be pretty solid in terms of plotting and pacing.

Because books.

Random: It's a shame "I've got a Yorkie upstairs and he pees when he's nervous" never made it into the deathmatch.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I'll give you pacing--they make sure to have something big happen every episode, at just about the same point every time. But the characters! Most of them are so laughable. I can't give a show with that many characters much cred when so many of them are weak and/or on crack.

And, honestly, I will eyeroll hard until they introduce a black woman who's not a witch. A normal human black person would be cool, thanks. Do they have racefail in their fandom?

The corners of the fandom I see tend to be Bonnie/Damon (not that I read, just what flits by on the flist), so I dunno. I think people are still in the honeymoon period of being happy to see any women, and especially any non-white women, on their screen for more than an episode, that they've only just begun the grumbles.

Wow. It's not like me to be ahead of the curve with that one, but the show is ludicrous with the literal magical negro (I don't mean the actual spiritual leader trope). I give them props for having a lot of women, but most of them are such whiners that it's barely a win.

I think the loss of Anna and her mother will lead to more grumbles, frankly. I was starting to see the beginnings of discontent near the end of the season.

I never liked Anna, but will definitely miss her mother. She rocked.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

Random: It's a shame "I've got a Yorkie upstairs and he pees when he's nervous" never made it into the deathmatch.

I thought I remembered voting on that one.

Because books.

Maybe it was and I've just forgotten. Just struck me as funny this morning watching the episode.
