All right, yes, date and shop and hang out and go to school and save the world from unspeakable demons. You know, I wanna do girlie stuff!

Because books.

Sorry, Perkins!

Even if they'd been raised by somebody else, Sam still would have died in "All Hell Breaks Loose".

I don't think that's true. I think an eventual destiny overrides the steps taken to get there.

Sam dying wasn't actually Azazel's plan in the first place, and if Lucifer and the rest of the angels are to be believed, he was always going to end up in Detroit, giving Lucifer a metaphysical piggyback ride.

"I make mistakes, but I am on the side of Good," the Golux said, "by accident and happenchance.” – The 13 Clocks, James Thurber

I feel like I imagine those poor folks did in the threads after the season 5 finale when everyone was comparing the Impala to the yellow crayon and moderators were yelling that they had to stop doing that, since not everyone had seen Buffy (and for God's sake, who hasn't seen Buffy? I've got it on TV as I type this). I don't watch Fringe so all of these comparisons between John and Walter are whooshing right over my head. But I've already argued my viewpoint about John here (I believe he loved his boys, I also believe he was not a good father; I know that this is not necessarily the popular viewpoint in these parts), so I won't drag it out again.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Truth was, at nine, Dean knew more about how to protect them than some kindly neighbor lady.

And now I have this lonely little fic bunny of WeeChesters being babysat by a I'm so dark and spooky! I dabble in the occult! teenager. Hijinks ensue. Someone write this for me.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

OMG. If Dean is going to spend the fic pining that he used to be banging Sam and John isn't it fair to warn a reader, even if it doesn't seem they even appear in this fic? Warn for offscreen Wincest seems polite? He better screw the living daylights out of Krycek, IJS.

Technically, I think the past season of Fringe is legal with whitefont in this thread, so if there are specific shows you don't want detailed here, make sure you ask so it doesn't happen again. But I do think it should be officially quantified.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Seriously? What is wrong with people? Yes, I think if you are pining for past incest, it's worth a warning. Really, what is wrong with people? I won't judge them for writing it but failure to acknowledge that not everyone will want to read it. I judge a lot and harshly.

I read the headers a million times to be sure I wasn't missing anything, and there's no mention. She's not even being subtextual in the story. Dean's pretty much trying to get over Sam, and then he mentions some stuff about John that has me all "Him? Too? Seriously?" But what's read cannot be unread. I'm hoping he's now over the issues, and we can go onto slashy casefile with less incest freaking nostalgia.

Dude. I know it's SPN. But warn a bitch. It's like how slash doesn't have to be sex. Incest doesn't have to be a sex scene right there to creep me out.

Kinda how if one were waxing rhapsodic about delicious long pig one once ate, WARN FOR CANNIBALISM. It's still validly something you need to warn for on your fic. Or, in that case, to your friends. In case you get peckish.
