I mean, let's say you did kill us. Or didn't. There could be torture. Whatever. But somehow you found the goods. What would your cut be?

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

The fate-verse [link] is an interesting read. It's a wip, unfortunately, although I'm hoping not abandoned (at the original lj it was posted October 2009, but reposted today at deancastiel, so maybe there's hope). AU, with Cas UST, and Cas swearing like a mofo. I like all the au world-building glimpses.

eta, not a Swan Song coda. Seems to be taking place some time after season 1,but before the end of season 2, but the au/ar is apocafic.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Season 3, Round 4, Bracket #1/1:

Sam: Yeah, because I've been following you around my entire life. I mean, I've been looking up to you since I was four, Dean. Studying you, trying to be just like my big brother. So, yeah, I know you. Better than anyone else in the entire world. And this is exactly how you act when you're terrified. And, I mean, I can't blame you. It's just...
Dean: What?
Sam: It's just, I wish you would drop the show and be my brother again, 'cause... just 'cause. 12:1

vs

Bobby: Family don't end with blood, boy.8:5

Sam and Dean: (In unison): Right, you're a mind reader. Cut it out, Sam... Sam! You think you're funny but you're being really, really childish! - Sam Winchester wears makeup. Sam Winchester cries his way through sex. Sam Winchester keeps a ruler by the bed and every morning when he wakes up..... Okay, enough! 8:5

vs

Sam: Just--bring him back. Please. 10:3

S3, R4

  • Be my brother again: Sorry Bobby. It mightn't end there, but it starts with blood
  • Just--bring him back: Vote against me! I don't know how I want this to turn out!

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Round 4

  • I wish you would drop the show and be my brother again (This was a hard choice, but my reasons for picking this one are much like ita's)

  • Right, you're a mind reader (I had to go for the brotherly interaction, and also for the sheer funny--not just of the interaction, but for the implication of how many times Sam had endured that same conversation. I like the gut-punch of the other line, but I also want to acknowledge just how well Show can do humor).

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Round 3

Family don't end with blood, boy

Just--bring him back. Please.

Because books.

S3, R4

  • ...be my brother again.: This is another one I don't think I can ever vote against.
  • Sam Winchester wears makeup.: As much as I like the other one, this is sibling ribbing and familiarity at its goofy finest.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

S3, R4:

Be my brother, again

Bring him back

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

S3, R4

• Be my brother again: one time family does end with blood, no way I could vote against this one

• Sam Winchester cries his way through sex: this is just too freaking hilarious, I burst into spontaneous laughter just thinking about it
