Supernatural 2: Why is it our job to save everybody?

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

I can think of one fairly easy way to separate Dean from Lisa and Ben regardless of whether it is love or just doing what Sam wants. Think of all the freaking dangerous enemies Dean has:

1) Any Demons remaining on earth. 2) Devil worshipers who saw the metaphorical wanted posters and don't know the reward is no longer offered (and probably never was).

3) Most hunters who still blame Sam & Dean for apocalypse and probably don't give them credit for stopping it.

4) Relatives of all the monsters Sam & Dean (and John) killed over the years.

5) The FBI if they figure out Dean is alive.

They don't need to fridge Ben & Lisa. A couple of near misses could convince Dean (and maybe Lisa and Ben as well) that their chances of continuing to breathe are enhanced by Dean going away. Especially if the near misses are isolated attempts, and Dean is convinced that there is still time to get out before word gets out of a connection between him and Lisa+Ben.

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

They don't need to fridge Ben & Lisa.

This is what I am feeling. I am willing to let Lisa and Ben go with no further interaction. I'd be really disappointed if they are killed to get rid of them. I have this sympathy for Ben and Lisa that it's not their fault for being involved with Dean. I don't want innocents to die. Let them come to the realization that it's not working and go their seperate ways. Please don't kill them.

I took my anti anxiety medicine which is kicking in, thus my lack of self censoring and opinion on everything. Apologies all around. I'm going to bed now while I can still walk straight. Heh.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I'm in agreement, Theresa. Yes.

Also, I was *such* a spoiler ho for BtVS S7 and AtS 4-5. I'm a ho for various other shows.

I just cannot deal with it with Supernatural. WHICH IS ODD.

"I make mistakes, but I am on the side of Good," the Golux said, "by accident and happenchance.” – The 13 Clocks, James Thurber

I swear 90% the codas are the same. Some are written better than others, but as far as I could tell, most of them ignore Sam at the window and have a politely dysfunctional Dean/Lisa. Stir and taste...

I've been reading the same codas, I think. I keep wondering where all the codas are from the other perspective -- when Sam and Adam fell, there were four personalities that landed in hell (Sam, Adam, Lucifer, Michael) and yet I'm not seeing any fic coming out of it. It's not that I'm looking for torture -- God knows, I'm not looking for torture, or still more repetitions of the "I'm the good son, you're the rebellious son" argument -- but it seems like with the four of them there ought to be the opportunity for some kind of interplay. Maybe between Sam and Adam if nothing else. I did find one short yet powerful piece from Bobby's POV, from his brief time being dead and witnessing the four of them landing there. But that's pretty much it.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

I believe someone was looking for this kind of fic? [link] Pre D/C

I could have done without the manipulative Chuck in the beginning, and it works fine if you skip that, other than it's too short. And Dean isn't messed up enough. Possibly a WIP.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

I'd love to see that kind of coda too, Morgana. I would also think that there are some angels of Zachariah's ilk who might have a vested interest in trying to get their head honcho out of that pit.

A couple of near misses could convince Dean (and maybe Lisa and Ben as well) that their chances of continuing to breathe are enhanced by Dean going away.

Oh, yes. I think that could work very well. Their presence would keep a sense of jeopardy going quite well, and I think a deliberate departure could lead to some interesting drama on its own. For example, if Dean had to leave, and Ben was not at all understanding about being ditched... It might give Dean some new insight into why John did some of the things he did.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I watched "The Rapture" this morning, and I was wondering. Does the plot point about Jimmy Novak's blood go anywhere? Since his daughter had whatever, too, I'm assuming it's hereditary. Do we find out that Jimmy's the descendant of the nephiliam? Is it a "Holy Blood, Holy Grail" thing? I'll be at a convention through Friday pm, so I won't have a chance to see if it's addressed in the next few episodes.
