“Not dead yet!”

So I had my first workout with New! Trainer! today.

Mostly stretching and assessment. He was flabbergasted at how flexible I was, considering I haven't worked out regularly in over eighteen months. My strength is for caca though, but he feels fairly confident, looking at my body makeup, that I should be able to work back up to that and regain muscle mass relatively easily. Says we'll have to take it easy on free weights though, since it's obvious I can build my shoulders to linebacker proportions fairly easily. Heh. Didn't need him to tell me that.

Anyhow, we'll call the first session a win.

Now, there will be split pea soup in my future, which is good since it's getting very blustery and will be raining with dropping temps throughout the afternoon.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Free coal mine rides for everyone!

Yay!

I haven't been on the U-505 tour since I was a kid. Of course, normally there are long lines for it, so they'd be worse during free admission....

Ann, that's a ferret.

There are at least two other people with my first and last name--an Irish artist and a South American socialite. Low-assed odds.

I also know of two with my first and last, but one doesn't really count because he's my father. (Such is life as Fred, Jr.) The other was a TV clown.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

A really excellent profile on Michelle Obama, especially her being a product of the South Side of Chicago.

Antonia?

Yep. Maria Antonia. Said in Spanish, it flows really beautifully and given how many Marias there were in my family, it was the only way to keep track of them.
