hip deep in pie

She's only 4 days old!

And it's Matilda (no h) Lucretia.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

My sister's friends just named their son Emmett.

There are a lot of Lillians around Lillian's age. I mean, I still love the name and all, but wow.

Edith was my mother's mother's name, and Esme was Dad's grandmother. For a long time, I liked the name combo Esme Helene.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

My sister's friends just named their son Emmett.

Same spelling? Despite Emmitt Smith, I can't get around the "i" variation. I just think it looks more balanced with two Es, two Ms, and two Ts.

Punishingly Intricate

And it's Matilda (no h) Lucretia.

Oh thank goodness. I was pronouncing it Math-ilda in my head and that was just wrong. Although maybe not if you really love math.

I had a babydoll named Lucretia when I was little. Named after early Feminist Lucretia Mott! [link]

I've always thought I might like to use the name Emmett for a boy because I like it and it's a family name.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

That baby name list hurt me with Aiden, Jayden AND Caden in the boys' top five.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

I love the name Lillian too. All Buffista sprog have good names.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

I love Isabel and it's a family name but I think it's too popular now (especially with variants like Isabelle, Isabella).

Well, it's worked well for Emmett. He's never had to share it with a classmate or teammate, plus he's awesome. So I encourage the Emmettization of America.

And Brayden close behind.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

So I encourage the Emmettization of America.

Tuxes for everyone!
