Msbelle, you could try Xjournal, which is Mac friendly. It's what I've used, although not without bumps.
And I've had my own techie triumph! OK, strictly speaking it's IT's triumph in working out some access issues, but I begged until they got it done. That's got to count for something.

I'm waiting for someone to come and buy my futon. It's the one I sleep on. I am also waiting for someone to call about the futon couch. I may wind up with nothing to sleep on tonight if I can't get this out of the way and get to Target for an air mattress.
