Tara: Do you have any books on robots? Giles: Oh, yes, dozens. There's a lot of research to be done in order to--no, I'm lying. Haven't got squat. I just like watching Xander squirm.

I'm making tacos for dinner tonight.

Man, now I want tacos for dinner. I think we are having Elk steak

Sounds like an opportunity for Elk tacos.

Now tagless for your comfort.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I made tacos with veggie burgers last night - stuck half a Morningstar southwestern black bean burger in each shell and added cheese and salsa. It was actually pretty delish, for three minutes prep and no dishes.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Where are you, Theodosia? I know there's a TJ's near the King of Prussia Mall. I need to hit it up next time I'm at my parents'.

Ooh, that's the TJ's I used to visit. They opened one closer in on the Main Line not long before I came home.

I found out recently that King of Prussia is named after an inn that used to be there. I like it when things have a reasonable explanation.

I'd often wondered about that! Like, I figured it'd go back to the Revolution, especially with the proximity to Valley Forge, but why not just name it after the actual king? Did they not know his name? Or did they think by calling it that they made it the actual king of Prussia? I like to imagine occasional decrees back to Germany, maybe something along the lines of "build me an army worthy of Mordor".

Discovering it was named for an inn - well, makes this more likely, really.

But now an Australian palaeontologist has established that the two koalas lived side by side – a finding that may throw new light on why the megafauna disappeared.

Clearly they were taken down by tiny stealth ninja koalas. (Koalas, like all marsupials, are mammals.)

ita, did you get your car up and running?

So we showed up to the 1:00 PM taping of Price is Right at 10:00, as that's when they start to do all the crap. But we told all the numbers were gone and we'd have to come back another day.

Mom was pissed. Last time she tried to go they canceled the taping. She promises not to try again.

Is it wrong that I am relieved?

Hell, no. Sorry your mom is disappointed, though.

I don't trust koalas of any size.

DH is going to be so happy. Pardon the Interruption is back on after a long holiday hiatus. His man crush on Tony Kornheiser knows no bounds.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

My cats eat Purina One, though not as much of it as they'd like. (I had to restrict the amount of food they got when I found out Nova was overweight. She wasn't happy about the reduction, but that's how it goes)

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

did you get your car up and running?

No, not yet. I don't have the energy to deal with more than re-upping the AAA today.

Sorry that your mother didn't get what she wanted--but at least it worked out for you.

Does the car just need a jump, ita? Like it's a battery ish? And when do you need the car? In this week's fun, I was planning on doing lemon bars from our tree and bringing them to you so if you don't need your car today or tomorrow, I might be able to help.

msbelle, I'm glad you're back home and recovering.
