Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

I officially tested in the bottom half percent for coordination, and was still able to learn to ice skate in a matter of hours.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

I have ankle isues with single blade skates, ice or roller. After 3-4 times around a rink and I am in lots of pain. roller quads are much better, but I almost never go skating.

I always had this problem with rental ice skates, once I had my own pair I did not.

Happy Birthday Shrift!

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

ok, I am finally moving and heading towards actually getting stuff done. It has been a while since I used the board to motivate me through a to do list, but here goes:

make more laundry detergent
do 2 loads laundry
, plus duvet cover in drier to de-cat it
take new christmas tree and few other things to storage
vacuum mac's room
vacuum livingroom

vacuum my room
clean bathroom started
sweep kitchen
clear and wipe down counters and table - started
2 more homeworks with mac
bag up items that are getting donated/ebayed and take to storage room - started
put away all my clothes

that should be a full day. now to get started.

mac has three tasks to do also, and I am proud to say he is starting on #2, #1 is done.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

OK, who got to my cat to tell him that claw trimming Is Bad? He never minded it until recently!

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Happy birthday, shrift!

Emmett and JZ tried to go skating yesterday, but everybody in SF had the same bright idea so there was an hour long wait.

Last time I went skating with Emmett I wiped out several times and was quite the bruise collection. It was disheartening. I'd been going a couple times a year for a while now with only occasional toe-catches.

JZ's very good on the ice. Emmett gets around, somewhat stiff kneed.

Swouncing

Skipping to post that, according to the Buffista Calendar, today is shrift's birthday.

Happy birthday, shrift! With lots of wishes for a great day and a wonderful year!

Our wings are not tired.

Today is also the 5th anniversary of Spirit landing on Mars. [link] Energizer bunny is going to start getting jealous of those rovers. Most impressive. Also, that totally doesn't seem like 5 years ago.

Does anyone here a Wii Fit? (Or do I need to ask about opinions in the gaming thread?)

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

It's a gorgeous day here, so I've been out and about, getting some stuff done (mostly as a byproduct). It's so nice to not feel sick. I think the past few days are the first time I didn't feel icky since early December.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I have accomplished Part 2 of Dealing With Files. Sadly, there will have to be a Part 3, mostly for shredding, but I'm not in the mood anymore.
