Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

What's awesome is I can totally imagine Betty White saying all that.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I am "working from home" today because it was too cold and far too snowy for me to deal with 60 minute bus delays! Because we are not a large city and the buses only run every 40 minutes, and I transfer, that is like a 2 hour delay in getting to work. And they usually send us home at noon-- so not worth my time!

Our just graduated new employee didn't know we had New Year's Day off, which cracked me up! He knew about Memorial Day, though.

I have just seen a picture of the cutest little piglets ever:

They have wrinkles! They are Shar Pei piglets!

Ann, that's a ferret.

Dudes. Time Warner cable appears to be canceling comedy central, nickelodeon, and MTV.

I read about this earlier this morning. It isn't so much "canceling" as "dispute over how much fees to pay." We went through it a few years with the local Fox channel. The contract runs out, the cable system and the broadcaster can't agree on how much should be paid in fees, so cable system can't carry broadcaster's channels.

Worst case scenario -- you'll lose those channels for a couple of weeks. Then screaming cable subscribers will pressure the two sides into an agreement.

The caption on those piglets:

The pig is a traditional German symbol for good luck at the start of a new year.

Isn't eating the pig the thing for good luck?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Isn't eating the pig the thing for good luck?

That doesn't happen until Oktoberfest.
