Natter 62: The 62nd Natter
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
I can't believe how big your nephews are, sara! Bananas.
I know. D is SIX! And Tyler 19 months.
Oh and Kat? My SIL kept saying that someone had replaced her sweet toddler with SATAN in the past couple of weeks. Given Tyler & Noah's ages, and Noah's emerging tantrum skills over TG, I had to laugh.
Tyler is still pretty preverbal and OMG it pisses the hell out of him. Add to that him inheriting his father's propensity to be a complete dick if he doesn't eat (as in, he'll be fine and then WHAM! Insta-crankypants-meltyland) and man, he's mastering the tantrum.
Loki is freaking possessed tonight. Roaring from one end of the apartment to the other.
Poor Mister Kitty. He just wants to be left alone by the little psycho. He's been talking ALL NIGHT. (I brought him home this morning.)
We have trees! In our front yard are five free trees that we ordered from LA Power--they have a cool program to get homeowners to plant trees, where you pick what you like and they deliver them to you with all kinds of info and stakes and stuff.. [link] We got an Australian Willow, Crepe Myrtle, Raywood Ash and Cuban Laurel. The Australian Willow is the centerpiece. Purty, drought-resistant and grows like a mofo. [link]
They mostly look like 6 foot sticks right now, but still--trees, trees in new places!
Neat, Scrappy!
Very cool!
My uncle just became my friend on Facebook. I'm not sure how I feel about this.
I can attest that sticks do, indeed, become lovely trees. I was gutted when the 40 foot oak in front of my house was felled for...no good reason that I could see, except that most of the trees on the street are reported to be diseased. And serious felling hazards.
The scrawny thing they replaced it with was no solace at all. But now, something like 5 or 6 years later, it is holding its leafy head up with pride.
eta: because I can't type for dirt this evening and 5 or 6 does not equal 56.
I. Am. GOBsmacked.
Either he was having a bad (but very nice to us) day, or he's done some est or something. I'd never have thunk it.
I'm not sure voiceover work on a cartoon requires all that much social interaction. But it does speak to having a good sense of humor about himself.
Yeah, I thought of that after I hit post.
Being in a booth with guys you like must be a lot like making a record. Still, I wish I could have seen the lighter side of Chuck. He really did seem like a sweetie.
