The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Nilly, that is absolutely amazing!

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I am jealous of people with this coming week of. Back to work tomorrow seems all kinds of wrong. I did enjoy some time alone both yesterday and today though. The more I thought about it over this holiday, the more I think I need to do a really severe purging of belongings.

good thought to Nilly, Shir, and families of both and to any and all caught in the conflict. peaceful thoughts to those in positions to make decisions.

The evil is this way?

Holiday wishes to all, and to those in the need, peace and safety.

I'm not sure what category this story fits, but oh my this man has some nerve:

Pa. family gets Christmas surprise when stranger emerges from attic after days unnoticed

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. (AP) — A family didn't realize it had an unexpected Christmas guest until a man who had been in their attic for days emerged wearing their clothes, police said.

Stanley Carter surrendered Friday after police took a dog to search the home in Plains Township, a suburb of Wilkes-Barre about 100 miles north of Philadelphia. He was charged with several counts of burglary, theft, receiving stolen property and criminal trespass.

"When he came down from the attic, he was wearing my daughter's pants and my sweat shirt and sneakers," homeowner Stacy Ferrance said. "From what I gather, he was helping himself to my home, eating my food and stealing my clothes."

Police said the 21-year-old Carter had been staying with friends who are Ferrance's neighbors in a duplex. He apparently accessed the shared attic through a trap door in a bedroom ceiling.

Carter kept a list of everything he took, said Plains Township police Officer Michael Smith.

"When we were going through the inventory of what he did take, we found a note labeled 'Stanley's Christmas List' of all the items he had removed from the residence and donated to himself," Smith said.

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

Nilly, love the kipa!

msbelle, if it makes you feel any better, though I have this week off, I have scads and scads of grading to do. Time to pay the piper for having slacked off last week.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I am also jealous, although I did not make any good use of my days off. I think I had African Sleeping Sickness, as I mostly slept when not having festivities, and got almost nothing accomplished that I wanted to.

In other first world problems, even with all of Hulu and all of Netflix, I cannot find a movie I want to watch. I am in the mood for a lightish romance, like a Hallmark Hall of Fame/Lifetime movie of a LaVyrle SPencer romance novel or A Walk in the Clouds, but I cannot find quite what I want and thus keep watching Law and Order;SVU. The opening keeps making me laugh, because at some point in my high school or college years, we used the word "heinous" all the time. "That blouse is heinous" or "She is a heinous bitch". So when they say "These crimes are especially heinous." it makes me giggle.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I just watched (on tape) the L&O where Jerry Orbach is the defense attorney!

Not to rub it in, but I'm pretty sure I'm going to sleep for the next couple of days. I just don't sleep much at my parents'.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Count me in on the jealous of the non-workers. I already know I have to work until 5:30 on NYE and on Friday.

This week is going to suck.

Our wings are not tired.

That does suck!

I am working half days Monday and Tuesday and then off again Wed-Sun. And Wed-Sun is completely PLANS free and I plan to keep it that way.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

I work Tuesday and Wednesday. I wish to be cranky about it, but since there are so many the bay area libraries/cities that are on enforced vacation -- I won't be complaining.

Our wings are not tired.

Simpson's kipa is fabulous.

Homework and grading should be forbidden during the holiday break. When I am in charge this will not happen. We will be working this week, but we have a message on the answering machine that we are on reduced staff and are returning calls. We only answer the phone if we wanna.
