Natter 62: The 62nd Natter
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Update: same as last time (demonstrations, rocket attacks, etc.), only with one dead Palestinian and two others wounded in demonstration in Nili'in (sp?). And oh, how lovely, in the riots in the neighborhood next to my they're now throwing Molotovs as well as rocks. I'm starting to be slightly concerned about walking to uni if this would last. As far as I know, anyone can enter/get out of there - it's not really a refugee camp per se. Hell, there are plenty of houses over there I won't be able ever to afford.
IDF entering the Strip seems realistic at the moment, judging by the news and reports.
Thank you so much for the updates. Both of you and your families are in all the Buffistas' thoughts right now. I'm wishing any possible peace and safety to everyone in your country right now, and any possible sanity to the leaders on all sides on whom your safety depends, and wishing any of us had the power to do more than just wish for you.
Rear Command...?
This makes me think of the teachers who threaten to have eyes in the back of their heads.
Oh, and Barb and Cashmere and JZ and everybody - thank you, so very much. The sympathy and well-wishes are, to me, the most important (and far from obvious) thing to do for us, now. Thank you.
Yes, very much what Nilly wrote. It's hardly far from obvious.
And, another update: I keep hearing helicopters above my place, and Lebanon claiming that IAF entered its aerial territory.
Do. Not. Open. Another. Front. Please.
Update: Palestinians broke into the border with Egypt.
Edit: IAF also bombed 40 tunnels in the Strip.
Today's breakfast was bacon, eggs, biscuits and gravy (made with the bacon drippings and heavy cream, FTW!).
I apologize if this post clogs any arteries.

I had Cream of Wheat, more to pacify Mom than feed my hunger. Perhaps I will get a donut at the DD down near the thrift store.
This is definitely First World problems compared to worrying about air strikes and Molotov cocktails. I wish I could do more than offer my sincere concern -- my thoughts are with you guys and your families, and pretty much anyone in the way.

OK, this is awesome: Live-Action Thundercats Movie
WormyTV spent a year and a half creating this fan made movie trailer for a live-action Thundercats movie using clips from various movies. Starring Brad Pitt, Hugh Jackman and Vin Diesel. The San Francisco-based graphic artist added all the effects frame by frame in Photoshop. The footage was edited in Adobe Premiere. Pretty incredible and also really funny.
It's fun just to try and identify all the movies and tv shows that they borrowed footage from to make the trailer.
eta: Is Vin Diesel supposed to be a hairless cat?

And possibly the worst product ever made: Twilight Edward Body Shimmer
Add subtle shimmer to your body with this iridescent powder. It includes a small application brush and comes in a clear container with an image of Twilight's Edward. 4 grams. Imported.
