Happy birthday, Jessica!!
My only issue with RFK, Jr., is his anti-vaccination opinions on autism. He might not be too bad as EPA head, though.
From upthread:
Also, I really forgot how good the West Wing was.
I got up early to do laundry this morning and turned the tv on to Bravo and watched the S1 ep which had lots of good things in it: first Big Block of Cheese Day episode, first meeting between Charlie and Zoe (and the rant from Bartlett that ended up being the kidnapping of Zoe in S4/5), and the first hint of really vulnerable Josh, with the discussion of his sister's death and her love of "Ave Maria." (Josh really did get put through the ringer, didn't he?)
Officemate had also never heard of Blossom.
Last week at the bookstore, I found out that one of my assistant manager's didn't know the Hall and Oates' song "Your Kiss Is on My List." God, do I feel old!

Oh, lord, really? That's disturbing and disappointing.
I don't see that as relevant to the EPA. I might quibble with him about wind farms on Cape Cod but otherwise I think his work with the Natural Resources Defense Council is solid.

Personally, I think his radical anti-vac stance (and basic lack of scientific comprehension it indicates) makes him disqualified for any position related to public health, EPA head included.

ION, article with Obama transition flowchart.
WHY do I read letters? I learned that Al Gore is a divisive figure and Howard Dean is a hate monger.
Last night I as I was falling asleep, I started to wonder if Nate Silver is going to predict the fall of the Galactic Empire, and if he will plant the seeds for the next empire to take its place.
I suppose he's too old, but I wish we could have Bob Bergland [link] back as agriculture secretary. He was great -- anti-big agriculture, hardworking, willing to speak unpleasant truths and pretty funny. (Okay, I once had a crush on the Secretary of Agriculture.)
As Jessica says, the problem with an anti-vaccination stance shows a basic lack of understanding about how science works, which is scary in almost any major government position.
