I'm all up in the law now, but damn it feels good to get my violence on.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Jesse, yes --lots of snow, lots of ice where the snow partially melted, et cetera. It's mostly been steadily below zero, so not much has melted other than roofs and so on, but even so. And, of course, there are huge 5' snow berms in the streets where people dug out their cars, so it's harder than normal to find parking....

I swear, if I ever figure out a lifestyle where I could live in Tucson from December to March, and then back here for the rest, I sure would.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

OK, no sneakers. I probably didn't need to ask, since even though our sidewalks here are mostly clear, it is still treacherous crossing the street because the curbs are all icy and bleh.

I've had a hankering for latkes this week. I've been thinking about my 5th grade class in the Boston suburbs, where a parent came in and made latkes with us. I'd previously been living in rural Maine, and suddenly here I was in a very diverse town, lots of first-generation immigrants from everywhere. I'd never heard of latkes before. Anyway, anybody got a best recipe?

I am at work again today, and between the cookies I still want to make, and the need to make a gingerbread house and do the first half of a boeuf bourguignon tomorrow, I have no idea when I can make latkes. But I want to!

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Flea, I'll ask my mom later. It's supposed to be really simple: just have mash potatoes, oil and sugar in hand. Some use onions as well.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

This month really sucks weather-wise. We've got another two+ inches already this morning with at least 2-5 more predicted before it switches to rain and snow combined tomorrow, and after a supposedly precip-free Christmas, we're supposed to get more this weekend.

Oh well, at least the temperature has moved up into the low 20s.
