I don't wear polish on my fingernails because it's a fruitless endeavor-- but when I do pedis, I love beautiful reds. Chanel's got a new collection that was just released-- Paris Moscou, and the three colors are absolutely gorgeous, especially the red.
I'd almost go through the hell of applying acrylics for those colors.
I never do fingers - only toes. Fingernail polish and me are non-mixy - it feels weird and chips immediately.
I am still obsessed with Essie's Clutch Me If You Can, and finally got a mostly-successful manicure out of it. Only one nail semi-screwed up! I think it might actually be something about the color, because the nail place woman had to re-do one nail when applying the top coat screwed it up.
Turns out, the lunch place never got our order. Augh!
I have floppy fingernails (no, seriously) so like flea's, mine chip immediately. I suppose I could do acrylic glue-ons, but don't they weaken your nails terribly?

Yep-- this is me. Playing piano from age four until I was well into my twenties meant constantly short nails and nothing other than clear polish, if it was worn at all. Plus my nails are irregularly shaped and not terribly strong, so it's pretty much epic fail if I try for a mani.

Yes. I only recommend them if you're intersted in a long-term committment. Or are looking to kick the biting habit, because it has worked for me (so far), although growing my real nails back out took a long time.

The camel poodle is pretty neat (and comparatively restrained). The rooster made me laugh like a drain. The dragon (lizard?) was a nice idea, but it looks too much like a costume.
My nails are very weak; they curl and peel. They hold up better if they have polish on them to add some protection and strength. My SIL has a salon so I go there when I have time. I always let the tech choose a color for me so they can try out new colors they want to see. Something in the red range most of the time. My NY resolution is to get there more often to be pampered. Last time I went I got a facial and it was so lovely.

Those Chanels look gorgeous. Not $30 a pop gorgeous (especially considering that the Chanel formula is crap), but still beautiful.
I used to not be able to get polish to last more than a day. Now that I actually actively want to change my nails almost daily? I've figured out the secret behind a good, lasting mani. (For me, it's NailTek Foundation II with Orly Bonder over it, the polish, a regular top coat, and then a final layer of Poshe quick dry top coat. And I'm hard as hell on my nails.)
