Natter 62: The 62nd Natter
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Oh, Mr. Kitty!
I am watching Frings for the first time, and although I have no idea what is happened, Josh Jackson continues to make me want to lick my TV screen.
My mom taught me to drive enough to get my liscense, but the person who really taught me to drive (who is my Facebook friend) was actually too young to drive when I had my license, but I used to let him drive all the time because I was scared. And then he taught me. And also to drive stick. Since that was almost 20 years ago, I have no idea if I could still drive stick.
Well, I knew we'd have to increase it, because the lowering was due to him not eating much. Now that he's eating again, it must go up. But the peeing is a pretty damned clear sign now was the time. Lakes, freaking lakes.
Normal for an insulin dependent cat is in the 100-200 range. 300 still being the top end of OK.
I really should have gotten a glucometer back in the day and done it myself. But when he's normal and not having health crises, he's been really well regulated so it kinda isn't necessary.
I discovered today that my officemate had never heard of 21 Jump Street. Then I realized that he was three when it started.

Ouch. I am old.
Mike taught me to drive because I didn't get my license until I was in college. He was on the cheerleading squad with me and he also drove the university shuttle from campus to the metro and back. He was the one who took me to my license test and let me use his car.
He was also the first person to take me rock climbing. He's good people.
Today zoomed past stupid into idiotville by 9:00 this morning, and it just never got any better.
I think I'm going to eat pumpkin bisque for dinner and then go to bed.
I don't want to go to the dentist tomorrow. Especially because my crown is being wonky (not pain, just...weird and it corresponds to sinus issues) and I don't want a second root canal on this tooth. When they mounted the new crown, it pinged something that they said was normal, but it was gone until root canal (which was a totally different pain) but now comes back now and then. Anyway, the old expected ping is now making me nervous. Figure I'll need a r.c. for another future-crown tooth given its history, anyway. Jesusfuck, I hate my teeth.
TIRED OF MONEY BLEEDS.
Officemate had also never heard of Blossom.
I haven't watched A Few Good Men in a while. And all the last bunch of times I've watched it, it's been edited for TV, so practically all of Jack Nicholson's lines got redubbed.
Oh and first world problems: I have to get the worst of my teeth issues coped with before I (likely) go to Nepal and Bhutan for a few weeks. And buy a fucking house, before then too. I am FUCKING insane.
Hmmmmm, good question.
Ditto on the good question. I will admit, too, WRT Few Good Men, I would have loved to have seen the stage production in Texas last year with Jensen Ackles and Lou Diamond Phillips in the Jack role. Oddly I would never have imagined him in that role, necessarily, without seeing him as the ATF agent in NUMB3RS, which he plays beautifully.

HMOG.
Also, did we know that David Iglesias, one of the federal attorneys caught up in the Justice Department purge, was apparently the inspiration for the Cruise role?
