We're such big geeks we're waiting until solar noon on winter solstice so we can take a measurement of where the sun falls in our sunroom. It should perfectly fill the room on that day. If so, we're going to mark it, and hopefully that will be the first stage of a solar calendar on the floor in that room.

Edit: I mean, I can look at other old styles and think they look dated, but not so objective BAD.
