Had our work holiday lunch today. No shrimp. But good Italian food and lots of it.
We also did a white elephant exchange. I brought a nice bottle of wine and ended up with a purple t-shirt that says "Sisters: Emotional Tech Support". Uhhhhhh. It is going in my drawer to be recycled in next year's exchange. One of the most "prized" selections was a 3 foot tall wooden warrior/fertility god type carving thing. That got traded around and hooted over to the max allowable (as did the booze, but that is to be expected).
Just came in to post the Majel news, but Barb beat me to it. Sad.

As usual, I am trapped under a cat. Good thing she's so cute.
I had to leave work about 11:00 this morning, because I was having a pretty bad allergic reaction to something (as in my tongue started swelling up, just a little).
It's mostly gone now though, and I am wearing inside pants!
Egad, Perkins. Glad it's subsiding. Hah, we must have traded pants at some time. I had inside pants on earlier, but then got dressed to go to the post office. Are yours black with white pinstripes?
Mine are pink! Shocking, but true.
Thanks for the anniversary wishes. As for HSM, seems it has been cancelled for tonight. So I guess that means we can have a more traditional anniversary except for the part where we can't get a babysitter quite this last minute. But that's okay. Maybe we can order sushi after the kids go to bed.
Franny's school musicale was adorable. Those kindergarteners can sure belt out a song.
