"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Though in fairness to Loki, there have been times when it made more sense for me to sleep in the bathroom.

I am not filled with love for this week. I have parent teacher conferences tomorrow night. What sort of fucked up school has conferences teh week before a 3 week break?!

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Loki keeps curling up IN THE LITTERBOX.

My cat used to do that. I think he got used to doing it at the shelter what with the limited sleeping places in a cage. But, he did stop after a couple of weeks. I just kept shooing him out and he got annoyed.

aurelia, I hope you can get in your car tomorrow!

My afternoon was filled with car ickiness. I left work, stopped to buy a couple of presents, went out to my car, and it would not start. It would turn over but wouldn't catch. After 2 hours, 2 failed jumps and a tow, my car is now at the shop. A coworker is picking me up in the morning for work.

It could certainly have been worse, but standing around in a parking lot when it's 10 degrees outside (plus a wind chill I don't even want to think about) is no fun.

That's ridiculous. Our parents wouldn't come this week.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

That's nutso, Kat.

I was right by Portos today and didn't get a chance to go there and buy potato balls. That's also nutso. Luckily my friend had gone to some delicious bakery earlier, so at least we had pastries. (will try to google name in a sec)

I am wondering when my stress-o-meter will return to the normal range.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Why can't there be a Porto's near us, Burrell? Zankou was kind enough to open up nearby.

Okay. Off to try sleep.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

aurelia, do you have AAA or similar? I'd bet they'd come out for a deicing and it's covered. And since it's right by home, you can just stay near a window and look out until they come, as opposed to standing in the cold....

Art Crawl!!!

Man, my regular NPR station has been having issues. I couldn't find it last night when I set my alarm so I set it to the classical musical station - figuring that surely they wouldn't program anything too startling early.

I woke up to "Little Drummer Boy."

Nobody should have to listen to that in the early morning. There is no version of that song that works prior to 6 am.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Juliana, I'm so sorry about your grandfather.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Juliana, I'm sorry for your loss.
