And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Happy birthday, Gar!

Too cute - as soon as DH left the room after putting Dylan down for his nap, he (Dylan) turned on the music box attached to his crib. It's just finished its cycle and I don't hear any jumping, so he must have put himself to sleep. Awwwwww. I wish I had a webcam set up in there so I could peek.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

OMG, I'm watching Rock of Love Charm School on VH1 (I know, I know), and it turns out there's a woman whose real given name is Destiny, but when she strips, she goes by Stephanie. Dudes. Her parents gave her a stripper name all ready!!

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Hey, does vanilla extract go bad?

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

It can lose its flavor and go more to just alcohol. Or if not tightly capped the alcohol can evaporate, and since the alcohol is the carrier and the preservative, what's left can be kinda rank.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Eventually, all the alcohol will evaporate, and the vanilla will go bad.

Today is one of my niece's birthday party, and my sister decided to go and visit the tree at Rockefeller Plaza.

So. Many. People. So very many people.

Thanks! I don't think this has done that yet, and it was tightly capped, but I think I may get some more anyway, because this is really old.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I get mine at Costco, Perkins, and it's never gone bad on me.

Even though it takes me a couple years to go through the whole bottle.

This may be slightly older than that. (I don't remember)

I will just get some at the grocery store--I have to go anyway.

Hey, speaking of Costco, has anyone tried the Kirkland sparkling wine? It got good reviews at Wine Spectator, so I bought a bottle.
