Got my hair cut today. My regular hairdresser is back from mat leave. She styled it a little differently than she has been. It isn't as flippy and...I like it just as much as the other way. I'll have to practice at it a bit. I love that I can just let her do whatever, and she always manages to come up with something that looks good on me.
The stores themselves weren't that bad today; the traffic, OTOH...whoa. So much stupid out there.
tree is done except for the vintage ornaments - discovered 2 ornaments that need repair, so I will do that tonight.
Most non-tree decorations are out , but just set and need to be put out in a way that makes sense so you can see them.
Cookies did not get cooked, cards did not get started. BUT, 2 toy items did get picked up by neighborhood people - these weren't sales, just giveaways, but still - always happy when things leave the house.
The tree's up. Didn't get any major shopping done but the tree is a good start. The outside lights will have to wait until tomorrow.
I've got my baking plan for this week.
I am bailing on a party tonight, because the other friend who was going to be there is sick, and it's an hour away, and and and.
In short, am lame.
I have made the dough for gingerbread bats, and I have three separate dishes of marshmallow fluff cooling in the fridge, waiting to become rose or violet marshmallows. I suppose I should eat something other than sugar, huh?
I have started my dish for the potluck at megans' tomorrow, put up a few holiday decorations, bought some movie money to go with my nephew's socks, maybe have discovered a present for my bro, and watched A Charlie Brown Christmas on the Tivo while I cooked.

That's ok, Barb; next time you're in Kansas City, you can come to my place and I'll make shrimp and we can kill a bottle of wine and you can fill my ears with novelist gossip. Fun!
Also, must budget time and money to get my bob cleaned up and sharpified. I have a semi-schmancy NYE party I am going to. There may be GUYS I do not KNOW or that my friends aren't MARRIED to. Le shock! I will be wearing this, in purple that I have had for years; it fits my figure like perfection.
It's a date!
And that's a smokin' hot dress!
