This is my boat. They're part of my crew. No one's getting left. Best you get used to that.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Is you credit card the same as your debit?

Yup. We use it interchangably, but mostly as a credit card that just takes the money out of our bank account. We do have an actual credit card which I don't like to use unless it's an emergency.

My daughter is allergic to me.

Maybe you just have a gift for bad timing? Poor Gracie and Momma.

DH's Christmas party was December 1st. We didn't go because he was in Vegas.

msbelle, Hall & Oates. Also, mac is extra smart--ice cream and french fries ROCK.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Hall and Oates.

Our Christmas party was today, though there is another one next Friday (for SF and Palo Alto). There was wine, but no shrimp.

We have no christmas party. Boo. Hiss.

I should go do dishes. Since K left I haven't really set foot in the kitchen.

Also, I'm finishing up A Thousand Splendid Suns. I love Housseini's writing and his storytelling is wonderful. But it pains me to read his books.

Kat, everytime I visit, Gracie has an episode of some sort. I'd take offense (and hell, I'd be fine if you take offense!) but I love the girl and don't want to be her Typhoid Mary, and sure as hell you aren't. Let's just call it chalking up the drama for mama.

Thoroughly enjoyed Kite Runner.

Still remote-sitting, but girly is at least home, tying up the phone line.

I thought Kite Runner was lovely. And sad. AND this one? Quite fantastic. But so upsetting. By the way, sarameg, did you like Word Freak?

I read Kite Runner along with Black Tulip, Bookseller of Kabul and I think the Sewing Circle of Herat one. Or at least I grouped them mentally. Was incredibly sobering.

I'm 95% through WG. And yeah, enjoying it, but it is so weird. I mean, I'm pretty damned geeky, but this goes beyond my geekdom into obsessive.

How are K& Noah doing? Talked to my Boise bf and she said a cold front was coming so they went out and bought pink snowboots for her daughter. I laughed because she was so anti-pink, only most likely her kid loves pink!

Noah is Mr. Cold. His Aunt Ness arrived last night so he's had a new person to entertain him.

I miss him.

So he's like me and Doesn't Approve of Winter? Glad he has fun peoples. Sorry you miss him. Soon.

Very soon. Can't way to see him.

No. He likes the cold, but he doesn't handle it well. It's been really really cold there, and relatively dry.
