Generally, PACER can get you copies of pleadings filed with the court.
Assault/assault and battery can cover a lot of ground. It could be as simple as a run-in with a neighbor or as big as, well, use your imagination.

Thanks, guys. You're saving me from self-pity.
Nice link, Kat. He's duly dinged.
I can't believe this doctor has just made my ER visits a crapshoot. He won't always be there, but I'll have no idea of knowing when. And although I didn't lose it on him today, if he'd gotten to me before I'd gotten any meds at all, I might just have. And he doesn't need to see that.
I doubt he has any meds readily available that would lessen the pain from platypus venom. Billytea?
Or a box jellyfish. Either would be good. The platypus would probably survive the trip better (and probably be in ill temper when it arrived).

Can you call before you go? It may seem like too much to deal with at the time, but better than getting all the way over there only to find that asshole in charge.
A WTF fashion statement. Probably NSFW.

Um....
Yeah, I gotta go with WTF as well....
Yeah, I gotta go with WTF as well....
Along with a hearty "WHY?"

I tried that at another hospital (asshole doc insisted he evaluated me from the next bed over, through the curtains, while he was stitching up someone else's foot, and kept (literally) threatening me with a lumbar puncture every time I told him I was still in pain) and they would refuse. Not sure if that's standard protocol. Can't hurt to try. Or I could go to another affiliated hospital and hope they honour my migraine specialist's wishes.
Why does this have to be complicated at all?
