OK, I was all "Ooh, Jazz hands voice for Jazz apple! I'm not going to be able to stop that!" Except then I read the seeing it DO jazz hands part, and now I'm picturing the apple with hands, and suddenly it's *creepy*. Like the apple is going to be putting on a show for the other veggies in my fridge, and fomenting some sort of freakish rebellion.
In other kitchen news, I have now made two different cookie doughs. One of which is in the fridge. Hopefully not fomenting rebellion. It's only sugar cookie dough. Nothing funky, which might incite madness.

I'd like to state, for reference in a couple-three weeks, that I expect to be yelled at by the main office for not making enough progress. And the thing is, it will be really fucking hard not to be defensive and combative because we're running flat out now, and I don't see performance improving and we've sort of reached the limit, near as I can tell. And with May coming fast, we are royally fucked and I knew this a year ago and have little control over it. I've said it again and again, as have others with actual clout, but we don't have enough bodies and minds. What do I need? I need more memory than we have slots for, I need more space than has been alotted, I need to have some of the core routines rewritten, I need my backup company to not be filing for bankruptcy, I need teams to not be changing the requirement, or for gawdsake, at least having requirements closer than 2 months before d-day, or for that matter 2 months after the original d-date, I need the test and dev systems to be able to load the system the way ops does. I need teams to really, physically, viscerally GET what "FINAL" means and not have to redo half my work halfway through because someone didn't look at it closely.
End ragey work dump.
