When we landed here you said you needed a few days to get space worthy again and is there somethin' wrong with your bunk?

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Things to be grateful for - among them, that I pre-scheduled a day off on the day we're having the office Christmas party. yay!

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I had made an eye-doctor appointment for the 16th back before Thanksgiving, and we just got an invite this week for the department holiday party that same day starting at exactly the same time as my appointment.

Yay for me, too!

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

ugh sarameg, sorry about the rough meeting. It's a shame that it's so easy for the ones demanding too much shit to not see what they are doing.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I got my Christmas Tree!

It's really very pink.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Yay, pink!

I second or third the "too tired to scream" notion. And am tickled at the tickledness re: Chu. Aww!

I think they even get that there's too much because they're always on us about what resources we need. Problem is? We needed and asked for those resources long ago and were turned down. Even if we got them now, it is too late to be helpful in the near term where we need it. So we are asking again, but it doesn't help us NOW.

I'm going to ask the developers to put in a stressed-out Scotty-from-StarTrek soundbit in the next software delivery.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

It should be noted, that two previous cops had let the couple go by, so it's not all cops who are stupid. Just one out of three, evidently.

I was saying in the nail place last night -- good and bad people everywhere, you know? People kept making these crazy generalizations, and finally I had to try to put a stop to it.

I think that was before Sunny told me white people should have more kids, though....

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Video of this robotic fire-breathing dog this guy built out of scrap parts: [link]

It's big enough for him to ride.

“Not dead yet!”

It should be noted, that two previous cops had let the couple go by, so it's not all cops who are stupid. Just one out of three, evidently.

Had they stopped and actually asked the cops for help? That was my understanding of the root of the mess-- that they actually stopped and asked the guy for help. Which boggles--
